You could piece together a rev limiter system for your magneto from all the separate components required. OR…you could just buy this kit with everything!
Includes our new proprietary pickup for the side of the mag drive, an easy to install magnet ring, an RPM activated switch and our heavy-duty limiter relay. You can also add RPM chips if you need them and 2-step or 3-step capability can be added as well using the pulldown menus above.
Read the tech article about this setup – The only difference is that you no longer need to buy a crank trigger pickup to make this rev limiter work…our hall-effect pickup creates the speed signal instead!
This particular kit is for band-clamp style magnetos mounted on an FIE mag drive with the cross driver style top. If you have a Mallory 2-pin style mag drive, we offer a different kit specifically for that. This particular kit utilizes the 1.800″ diameter shaft top for magnet ring mounting.
